What is the International Surfing Day?

For its 9th edition, International Surfing Day will once again flow over beaches all around the world on June 24th 2012. Every year, since 2004, International Surfing Day, created by EuroSIMA (European Boardsports Industry Manufacturers Association) and actively supported by the European Surfing Federation (ESF), as well as Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and Surfrider Foundation Europe, has launched the summer season. This free celebration day is the occasion to make new publics know about the wonderful world of waves and surf, share our passion for boardsports and make people aware of the delicate beauty of our environment, as well as the values of conviviality and solidarity surfers are attached to.

Surf lessons Discover the pleasures of surfing and other boardsports with wise advice from experimented instructors.
Environment Many associations dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the environment will be present to inform and educate the general public about the respect of our recreation areas.
Contests & Demos Contests irrespective of levels and pro riders' demos will be organized to put on a show for everybody.
Concerts & Parties There is nothing like good and festive party to end this celebration day.
